Divorce rate in Wuhan doubles after lockdown

June 2020 Emily Flaszynski

Reports coming out of Wuhan suggest that the lockdown had a distinct effect on relationships, an effect that has seen the divorce rate soar. At Mortlock McCormack Law we hope the same is not seen here but sometimes relationships get broken and like a shattered crystal ball it is not always possible to glue the pieces back together again.

If you have found yourself in that situation do touch base with our family and relationship property team here at MML so we can help steer you in the right direction. While there is no “right” way to separate, steps can be taken to ensure that certain pitfalls can be avoided. Contact Emily Flaszynski, Associate (DDI 03 343 8454 / emily@mmlaw.co.nz).
