Legal Executive Vacancy – Full Time Position

We are a dynamic medium-sized, Christchurch-based and centrally located firm that takes pride in their people, culture, values and service. Key functions of the role:

  • Enjoys being an active and contributing team player and has the aptitude and initiative to progress work on their own;
  • Technical competency with the ability to provide legal advice on a range of property and personal matters.
  • Drafting legal / transactional documents and all relevant day to day correspondence with clients, colleagues and third parties.
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships. A natural problem solver with strong communication skills.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and attending periodic networking events. Excellent attention to detail and savvy at prioritising and managing your time.
  • A strong commitment to exceptional client service. Ability to work collaboratively with directors and colleagues.

Ideal requirements:

  • Full time; Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Looking for an Intermediate/Senior level Legal Executive with a minimum of five years’ experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Actionstep, NetDocuments and LINZ.
  • Experience in buying and selling property and wills and powers of attorney primarily, with subdivision and property development, business sale and purchases and/or estate administration experience an additional bonus.

Junior Legal Secretary Vacancy – Full Time Position

Key functions of the role:

  • Can demonstrate proficiency and has experience with generic office systems (Microsoft being essential to this role) for the day-to-day administrative tasks and drafting/amending of correspondence and documentation in a professional environment.
  • Exhibits good computer skills with speedy touch-typing ability.
  • Is a strong and persistent communicator.
  • Has an enthusiasm to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Has excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and savvy at prioritising and managing time.
  • Enjoys being an active and contributing team player;
  • Possesses confidence and displays a willingness to listen and learn.
  • Holds a strong desire to provide exceptional client service.

Ideal requirements:

  • Full time; Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Looking for a junior level Legal Secretary with a minimum of 6-months work experience in a professional office or administrative role.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft, Actionstep, Netdocs and LINZ beneficial; but with regards to legal practice programmes, training will be provided.
  • Ability to start this new and exciting role in the New Year.
