Parenting through a Pandemic

September 2020 Emily Flaszynski

If you currently have a shared care parenting arrangement and want to review the terms of these arrangements, or draft up a new agreement, the Relationship Property and Parenting Team at MML is here to help.

Key points to note:

  • Parenting arrangements continue as normal at COVID-19 Alert Level 2.
  • If your children or anyone else in either household are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, awaiting a test or required to self-isolate, children should not move between households.
  • If your children cannot see their other family group in person, ensure that they have as much access as possible by phone or video link like FaceTime.

The Ministry of Justice sets out some guidance and frequently asked questions that may be of assistance.
