Our team is the most important component of our business. Every staff member makes an important contribution toward delivering exceptional legal services, regardless of whether they are qualified legal professionals or our support and administrative staff. Collectively it is a team effort and our combined experience stands us in good stead to lead in the provision of legal services.
A qualified Legal Executive and the friendly voice for a number of our family law clients over many years, as well as being a member of our commercial and property team, Bianca started with MML as an Office Junior in 2001 and is now one of our Senior Secretaries.
Bianca is not only a kind, diligent and hard working member of MML but also a Canterbury and New Zealand representative for Touch Rugby (a career spanning 18 years), a super aunty, and a social/active person who happens to be a staunch supporter of both the Warriors and Queensland (for State of Origin) Rugby League teams.
Morgan started with MML in 2002 and qualified as a Legal Executive in 2009. Morgan took time out to start her family in 2011 and has returned to our busy commercial team as well as assisting with our Notary clients. Morgan is friendly, systematic and always willing to “go the extra mile”.
A mother of two; Morgan also enjoys hitting the gym and running.
Elaine joined us with 4 years experience in another Christchurch firm and prior to that 8 years with the Department of Justice in her homeland of South Africa.
Outside of work Elaine enjoys swimming, reading, baking, kayaking and other outdoor adventures.
Sandra has worked for approximately 30 years as a legal secretary, 20 of those years split between a QC here in Christchurch and a well established law firm in Brisbane.
Sandra’s confident, fun-loving personality makes her an important part of the team at MML. Sandra is the perfect pairing to Simon Mortlock as they strive to achieve answers and results for a large and loyal client base.
Sandra comes from a large but close family, enjoys keeping fit by walking her black lab (Wilson) and of course cannot say no to a drop of good wine, particularly when good company comes with it.
Our new face on the front desk and friendly voice at the end of our main phone, Leah comes to us from a beauty and retail background.
Leah is already very well travelled, appreciates good food and great cocktails, likes trying new restaurants and enjoys helping her parents out on their Swannanoa farm.
Michaela has spent the better part of the last decade with MML, first joining the team as a Launchpad student in 2009. In 2014 she joined the commercial and property team, until she headed off on her OE at the end of 2016. Michaela returned from London, after qualifying as a Legal Executive in 2017. She is excited to be back with us and has fitted seamlessly back into the team.
Outside of work Michaela loves travelling, good wine, outdoor adventures, keeping fit and cooking for her friends and family.
Teresa celebrated 20 years with the firm in 2017. The experience and knowledge Teresa holds in accounts receivable/administration, payroll and GST is valued at MML, as is her work ethic.
Teresa is married to Stephen with two adult sons, is an avid rugby and tennis supporter, loves travel and enjoys a good gin.
Jess first came to Mortlock McCormack Law as a Launchpad Student then stayed on in accounts administration before heading overseas to travel, work and enjoy life. After returning to Christchurch and gaining further experience in trust administration, Jess has settled back into life at MML seamlessly.
