MML’S Client Function – May 2018

September 2018 Sue McCormack

In May, we held a client function at Bangalore Polo Club at The Terrace.  It was great to catch up with some of our clients out of the office and to celebrate the opening of Christchurch’s newest hospitality offering at The Terrace.  Antony Gough was our guest speaker for the night.  Antony told us his story around his development which had everyone captivated.  Following the earthquakes Antony purchased his sister’s land to enable him to meet the city’s blueprint requirements of developing a footprint of 8,500m2.  With an entourage of people he then headed to Melbourne to better understand how laneways can be effective in joining spaces and to help people engage with one another.  An architect firm and a construction company were then chosen to design and build Stage 1 of The Terrace.  This hospitality offering is a big plus for Christchurch and we are very proud to have been part of the team that assisted Antony in bringing this to fruition.  A big thanks to Antony for his wonderful speech, The Bangalore Polo Club for the great food and drinks and to our clients that were able to make it.  A great night was had by all!!

Thank you to Partner Sue McCormack for hosting and Legal Secretary Jess Moore for organising
